Summer Lovin

My goodness our vacation is going by fast. This summer is going fast...but it has been a fantastic summer to say the least! My cousin with her beautiful children came to town and we decided to go the creek once again

Yep...that one there she's mine. Crazy kid I know but so much like me it's insane. I was the oldest with only sisters and so is she. It's funny to see and hear things she does and I think back 18 years! 

Look at all those girls! We had Aliya but she's a little young (3 months) to sit in a tree. Little Nora girl is so adorable! She had such a fun day with all my girls. It was hours of imagination at work! Tea party's, space travel, Las Vegas (lol), and river fun. 

That's how we set up camp for the baby. She needed shade so her daddy took care of it! 

Which is one of the many reasons I love him!

Ocean Views

Ok so anyone who knows me knows that the ocean is one of my top places to be. Anytime I am near the coast line I have to go! I have been from the Oregon coast, and the California beaches down to Texas and over to the Florida keys. I love the ocean! So naturally anytime we are visiting family in Oregon (which we are now) I take my kids to the coast.

It was Aliya's first look at the ocean and it won't be her last...

We had so much fun (as always)! Skylar and Kiera's favorite game is "wave run" and it's exactly what it sounds to be. The girls go out as far as they are brave enough to go (so not very far lol) and wait for a wave. When it comes close you run!!! 

They made it back! Love my girls so much and it means the world to me that we can make so many amazing memories...

Skylar Corner

My sisters were messing with the soda machine and Kiera lift up Lilly to press the Pepsi button and a Pepsi came out! We are still in Oregon!:o I don't know when we are going home but I am loving it here!

Another Day

As I sit here on this beautiful morning while on vacation I know I am so blessed! We are having a wonderful time together as we visit with family.

My kids are so happy when all together. It make me as a mama so excited to know they have such an amazing relationship. There are some who would like to see them apart and not so close but their love for one another can never ever be broken. Skylar has many sisters from both houses and we know she has a relationship with all of her sisters but there is something very special she shares with my girls. 

We are just beyond blessed with our girls! I can't say it enough...

I am so excited to see what this next school year brings. There will be some amazing things in store for the family, and I am forever grateful and so thankful to my Lord for giving me these children as mine to raise. 

Back Together

My hubs and Skylar finally made it to Oregon and oh my goodness were we excited that day! I hate being away from either of them... Skylar chose to stay with her dad which was totally fine but I missed her soooo much! She is just the greatest little girl and tries so hard to make everyone happy. 

Aliya was so cute when she saw her sister...her face was priceless. After they had been here for a few hours we broke out some fireworks and my hubby well...

 

Apparently it's the cool thing to do lol! I was so just so dang happy to get all my girls back together. They love each other more than words could ever explain. I love how much they love and like one another. Not much fighting goes on in our house (yet) between them so it's nice. I am the most blessed mommy in the entire world!

My number 2

My number two daughter that is...today is my beautiful little miss Kiera's 5th birthday! We are celebrating Oregon style by hanging with some family members, hitting up Toys R Us, riding some trains and so much more. This girl is an amazing little thing I tell ya...she has been and continues to be one of the greatest joys in my life. She has the most incredible imagination and is always keeping me on my toes. I love this little girl so much! There is never anything boring about life when she is around. My superstar she is gonna be...anything in life I know she will conquer. 

We all love you so much Kiera...thank you for being such am amazing kid and always finding the good in life. You will always be my baby girl!

Skylar's Corner

   I went to the wildlife safari in Oregon yesterday. It was so cool. I saw a gazelle with sphere on the top of his horns! I got to go in the  the tigers and the cheetahs cage and there was a little village and there was a gigantic turtle it is probably bigger than Kiera!!!!! There was a penny machine  and I got the tiger!

Look Alike

Since Ali was born in April my grandma kept trying to figure out who she looks like. In her opinion Aliya doesn't look that much like Danny or I so it had been bugging her for months. We were going through old photos and came across a photo of my sister Keeli...guess who she looks like?! 

My grandma feels better lol now that it's not bugging her. Of course I say she looks like her mama! 

It has been pretty hot here so I thought I would share with you a few photos of the baby keeping it cool

Doctor, Doctor

This vacation is flying by even though we had a rocky start. Lilly and Aliya got sick just days after we arrived. Both baby girls had horrible coughs and Lilly had a fever that just wouldn't stay gone. Poor girls were just miserable. So after 48 hours of symptoms and being on vacation I had no choice but to take them to the ER. 

I love my babies! Even with a fever you can see my Lilly girl loving are sickly baby sister. Lilly ended up with just a bad cold and Aliya well...she was alright also however they felt with her being so young and being a premie it was best to hit the sickness hard. My poor girl was given an IV for fluids and some meds...and had to have a cath to get a urine sample. It was horrible as her mommy to see her like that and be helpless. As a mom it was horrible, as a nurse it was still horrible but there was an understanding as to why. 

Her poor little arm. I had to hold it as still as I possibly could. 

They decided to put a wrap on for a little extra comfort and stability. After all tests came back good and they got the extra fluids down the iv we were finally sent home. I was able to comfort and care for my babies with the peace and quite of our own home (well grandmas anyway).

The following day my Aliya was already feeling better and Lilly was better the day after that! Thank goodness! Kiera finally got to see Rylee and she had a great day...Lilly got out with them and starting eating much better. Our vacation was taking a turn for the better and has been going strong ever since! Whoohoo!!!

Skylar Corner

Keaton and Nora +Mary my cousins are coming to the house in Oregon and there going to spend the night 2 times.I can't  wait. I love and missed then so much and I finally get to see Keaton ,Nora and Mary:D We are are going to have so much fun while they are here

Relaxation...and a little shopping

The first few days in Oregon were fantastically relaxing! We got into town and enjoyed some of the peace and quite at grandma and grandpas. My grandparents are so in love with my girls (then again who isn't). 

My Aliya just loves papa Leroy! She tries to talk with him so much. It is so stinking adorable to watch.

We decided to do a little bit of shopping. This is always awesome with grandma! She finds the best deals and there are so many second hand stores I could shop for days. Of course I focused more on taking random photos of the fun then actually shopping lol! But it was a great time.

We made it back to grandmas house and apparently tuckered everyone out including the baby. 

 

Spread out and passed out! She looks completely relaxed don't you think?! I just love shopping days!!!

Oregon Vaca 2013

You are never gonna believe where we are?! Ok well you might know if you watch my Facebook or twitter...haha! We have been in Oregon for over two weeks now and we are having a great time! Danny and Skylar have only been here five days so we will be on vacation for a while longer. It was so great to see the look on my grandmothers face when we walked in...she had no clue we were coming. My pops walked in with baby Aliya (whom she had not seen yet) and said "look grandma what I found on the road..." He had her stumbling over her words like no other...she was asking him what he had and where it came from lol. Somewhere around that time the two big girls went running up to her screaming "grandma! Grandma!" She figured it out right then and was so excited...

Needham Family Reunion 2013

This years Needham reunion was in our beautiful state of Colorado! What a great time we had. I believe all together there were 50 family members at the campground. That's a lot of Needham's in one place lol... We stayed right next to the river where the kiddos played for more hours than I could keep count. There was some amazing food (as always) like fish, antelope, ooh and fried pies to name a few. The company was great. I got to see family I hadn't seen in close to ten years!

The old timers in the photo above are just five in a family of twelve. At this point there are seven siblings left so five out of seven was good to have at the reunion. I have to say I am extremely blessed as I have had the honor to grow up with my great-grandparents and great-aunts and uncles! There are not many out there anymore who can say they have so many memories of those family members.

See like I said there were quite a few Needhams. We were missing only two from the reunion during this photo so thats not bad at all.

The girls absolutely loved the river! I personally thought it was a little cold but that didn't seem to slow down the kids any. We had such a great time that weekend... Camping is always on the list for our family so this was a lot of fun! I love our yearly get togethers and we are already excited for next years which will be held in Oklahoma. 

The greatest moment for me was when my grandpa chose the ticket for Granny's  quilt. See every year they auction off a quilt made by my great-grandma...every ticket is $1 and the proceeds go to help pay for the reunion costs. This year there were two quilts; the first went to little miss Jasmine Hatley

And the second...

That's right! My baby Aliya was the lucky winner!!! When they called her name (which took a moment for them to pronounce lol) I started crying. Once I started crying my Aunt B started crying. Ali may not ever understand how special it was to get something made by Granny but it will be an amazing memory for me.
