T-ball

Yes, I know and I told you that I can be a slacker. Trying to blog everyday is not going as planned but alas that just means I am spending that time with my amazing familia! I will catch up on my absence over the past few days over the weekend and we will go one day at a time from there.

My beautiful Kiera D. started t-ball on Wednesday evening! I can't believe she is old enough for all these sports already. It went by so fast... She kept telling us that she wasn't scared or anything that she was just nervous. She is so darn adorable! We met her coach and my daughter had no problems fitting in what so ever. I am so proud of her. Such a good and very sweet little girl.

Had so much fun!

Summer Fun Has Begun!

Yes, for those here in Colorado summer has begun of course for the Iversen family summer will not officially begin until June 8th. That is the day our beautiful Skylar will be home for the summer and our time together will begin. She wants to have a spa party this year for her 8th birthday...fun for us girls right!? So yesterday in preparation we tried making our own lip gloss. Which I have to say was not only a blast to make with the girls but it also turned out awesome! All the girls chose their own flavors...We ended up with Watermelon, pink lemonade, orange, and blueberry.

As you can see the girls had so much fun yesterday making their own lip gloss. So I would have to say this one will be a hit at Skylar's spa party!

Saturdays Fun

Yesterday was so great! Danny spent the first half of the day at the ranch branding. I got some great photos! My hubby is a pretty tough guy and gets those calfs down to the ground, branded and tagged in a matter of minutes... It was so much fun to watch. He sure fits in with those cowboys!

What a relaxing day right?!

Catch Up!

We were gone all weekend hanging out on the ranch. It was such a blast to take the kiddos up and enjoy a weekend away!

Friday we spent most of the day up at the ranch house and took some photos out on the beautiful land...

Once the rest of the Iversen family got home we had a perfect night catching up. I love summer days!

Pure and Simple

Today I took some snapshots of Miss Kiera! They turned out great! She is so easy to photograph and who doesn't want more pictures of their kiddos? How am I suppose to choose a favorite when she looks just so darn CUTE!?

Motivation

We all have moments of motivation right? I mean like some days you don't want to get out of bed and the next day it's like you have superpowers! You know what I am talking about...you get the call your in-laws will be by for a visit and all of a sudden your house looks cleaner that it did when you first moved in. Sadly, I am not motivated by my in-laws, I see them too often so they know me as well  as my own family and though sometimes I feel bad that they walk into a house that has dishes in the sink or laundry that needs to be folded...I wouldn't have it any other way! I love that I am comfortable with them and I love how close I am with them. Ok now I am a little off track here...I have moments where I am so motivated you couldn't tear me down if you tried but they seem to be just moments. Like this blog for example I am always going back and forth with it, I write for days sometimes weeks straight trying to keep up with it and then months without a word. I am just like that, life is far too important to be sucked in by all that technology has to offer. However, I would love to make a book from this someday...it already has moments of loss and moments of great joy written out that I never want to forget. Where is my motivation stemming from this time...well it happens to from a pretty amazing little (almost) 8 year old. My beautiful daughter told me I need to write more often, she is old enough now that while she is away from home and with her bio-mom she is wanting to see (well read) about us. I love that girl! All it took for me was a little gal saying, "mom you really need to write more." So I am...

FYI it may not be a whole long drawn out story, in fact it may not be a story at all. I will be posting photos some days, a full blog post, or maybe a letter every once in a while. I plan on trying my best to post something daily over the summer and then we will see how the fall goes! Hope you all will take the time to keep me encouraged and enjoy the journey with me!!!

To start off, yesterday we decided to make a Technology ticket board. It was so much fun putting our own little spin on it...we took ideas from several different boards we found online and it turned out pretty cute.

Aliya Jai Iversen

Welcome to the world my beautiful baby girl! You are our fourth little princess and I could not be happier :) Everyone of my little girls makes my life that much more complete...You my angel are definently a little miracle sent from above. You came five weeks early and not one single health issue..Thank you Jesus!

It was Wednesday, April 17th when we went in to the hospital. I was having contraction after contraction and although we were all praying you would be completely healthy at five weeks no one could be sure. I was given morphine, four shots of Tributiline and my goodness you were determined. All of that and all it did was space the contractions out a bit so I could rest here and there. By Thursday, April 18th our Doctor (Dr. Keller) decided to call a specialist in Grand Junction to get his opinion. He felt that if after everything they had given me and my contractions had still continued it would be to help with delivery. He said there must be a reason that I continued to contract, and that at some point it would put too much stress on us both. Of course too much stress on either of us could have resulted in an emergency c-section and no one wanted that! So they gave me some antibiotics that I normally would of been given at 37 weeks and then broke my water around 5pm.

I was given petosin to help things along. Around 5 centimeters we called Grandma Sherri and your big sister Kiera. Your aunt Kelsi was already there since she came right after her classes, she braided my hair and got me ready for your big debut...Grandma Sherri and Kiera got there just in time. I went from 5 centimeters to 10 in a very short time so everyone was in a hurry. We had to wait on Doctor Wilson (your pediatrician) to drive from his home before I could start pushing. He almost didn't make it! Dr. Wilson walked in at about 11:56pm and you my beautiful princess were born April 19th at 12:01am...

Because you were five weeks early I did not get to hold you right away as the Doctors had to confirm you were healthy. You stayed in my eye view for about 20 minutes and then you came to your mommy. You were so calm, your eyes were wide open, and it was as if you were listening to every word. Your daddy and I love you so much! Of course so do your sisters! Your big sister Kiera was able to watch your birth and she was so amazed at it all. As soon as you arrived into the world your sister said, "She is Beautiful!" She stayed by your side until they gave you to me and she was so happy you were finally here.

Your daddy...well what can I say beautiful...he is the greatest man in the whole world. As you grow you will come to see just how amazing he is. The most important thing in his life are his girls. All four of you are so blessed... there is no better daddy out there. He will teach you so many things, and what he can't teach you I will. I love you my beautiful daughter and I will always be here for you. I am so blessed to have you in my life. You and your sisters are my entire world. I now have four amazingly beautiful daughters that I will continue to love more than life itself. Welcome little girl to the most loving family in the world!
