A Family Always
After our quick get away from the house and we decided to stay a day away and have a good time you would not believe the troubles we had. The truck took about three hours to get running, it could only go about 60-65mph, and of course the two babies had been in the car at this point for almost 72 hours! We decided to stay over on Friday night since Dan and I had left at 10:30pm the night before and were exhausted. We got a room and told the girls we would take then to the zoo in the morning and that was our plan, until we got there and our visa card did not work. It's a Saturday and our bank closes in 30 minutes and we are five hours away! There is no number to call so we finally get a hold of my youngest sister who drives to the bank and has them talk to me on her cell phone :) "thanks Kelsi!" They had shut off our card because we had not called them to let them know we were going out of town... At this point anyone of us could have lost it an I think we all would have understood but even after Lilly fell down and got a bloody nose our girls, and Dan and I, kept it together an had an amazing day at the zoo. My kids are AWESOME!!!

Time Away
There has been so many things happen in our family just in the past few months that it was time for a break. Time to escape reality and focus on our kids and ourselves. It wasn't a planned trip, actually Kiera and Lilly had been in Oregon with my parents so this short planned vacation was an extension for them! For starters we played in the pool...

Summer months
The summer months have begun in this household and we plan on making the best of every day we have together! It may be Skylar's last summer with us for a long time so we want everyday to filled with love and laughter. Skylar started her softball practice last week and we are coaching again. It makes to be a fun family evening for us all. Kiera will start swimming next month and we will really be busy. I love the summer months!

A letter from Grandma
I came upon this letter sent from my grandmother I just have to share <3 I miss her so much and think of her every day. There is not one day that goes by where something happens and I want to tell her about it...I know she was so very proud of me and so I will continue on and do my best day by day.
Here is her letter: Wishes for Happines
It is sometimes believed that success is achieved by material things you aquire, that there's never the time in the fast upward climb to just "be"-you must always go higher. But REAL lastin success is not WHOM you impress. It's not something that's done just for praise - it's in making a quest to be always your best, putting balance and love in your days. For you'll find that it's true that it's not WHAT you do that determines your rise or your fall, but rather the way you approach every day, always to give it your all. It's so easy to tell when you've done a job well - for you fisnish each day with a smile. It isn't "success," it is true HAPPINESS that will make your life really worthwhile.
"I'm very proud of you and I love you very much. How lucky you are, you have your whole future ahead of you." Love Grandma

Blessings in Disguise
The last few months have been hard and full of so much emotion, that it has been difficult to write much of anything. My emotions still run very high when I think of my grandmother...I miss her so much and with the passing of Thanksgiving and now Christmas on the horizon it only makes it more difficult. Everytime I would try and write in my blog I would read my last entry and just cry.
